Sally El-Arifi
Sally's true passion lies in the art of ingredient experimentation. Her culinary journey began with a BSc in Food Science and Nutrition and evolved through hands-on experience in several high-end kitchens, where she worked as a baker, chocolatier, and chef.
In 2022, Sally became the proud author of The Little Book of Bananas—a cookbook dedicated to reducing food waste through creative and playful recipes. Two years later, she founded Laffe Goods, a wholesale food and beverage company that transforms surplus ingredients into delicious, sustainable products aimed at minimising waste.
Sally’s recipes consistently reflect her signature ethos: mindful nutrition, bold and unexpected flavor combinations, and a strong commitment to reducing food waste. Her culinary perspective is deeply shaped by her multicultural background—born in the UK, raised in the Middle East, and with roots in Ghana, Sudan, and England. This rich heritage inspires her to blend diverse culinary traditions, resulting in vibrant, globally influenced dishes.
