Philippa Davis
Philippa Davis is an international private chef, TV Presenter and writer.
She grew up on a small farm in Dorset with her extended family where her love for cooking was born. At 19 she moved to London to pursue a career in food and over the next nine years worked as a chef at The River Café and Moro before moving on to set up and run the award winning Mudchute Kitchen, a café on London’s largest city farm on the Isle of Dogs.
In 2010, Philippa made the challenging and adventurous move from working in restaurant kitchens to becoming a private chef. Since then her work has taken her around the globe cooking for an impressive list of high-profile clients.
Philippa writes for numerous magazines and websites including BBC Food, House & Garden, The Field magazine, Deepest Books, Country Life and Dorset Magazine.
Broadcast work includes fronting several Channel 5 food consumer documentaries and appearing as the expert food judge on Channel 4’s cookery show. In 2024 she presented ‘A Taste of Dorset’ a six part food and drink show for Amazon Prime Video which champions the incredible local food and drink producers of her home county.
Philippa is a judge for the Great Taste Awards and Academy of Chocolate as well as being an adviser and ambassador for Liberty Kitchen, the BBC Food and Farming winning street food project run from Pentonville Prison.
She is currently working on her debut book.
